571 Projects supports the work of dynamic emerging and mid-career artists by bringing conceptually strong, well-crafted work to the notice of an engaged art going and collecting public, via special exhibitions, independent curating and an informed art consulting practice. We are dedicated to the careful curation of a thoughtful selection of artists, and to nurturing curiosity and contemplation in our collectors and art enthusiasts.
We welcome and encourage the public to engage with art and special exhibitions at our boutique gallery, located at 56 Park Street, Stowe, Vermont. Additionally we maintain an Artsy Gallery, where works by gallery artists can be browsed and may be purchased online.
We are open for Private Views, by appointment only. Masks must be worn at all times inside the gallery, and we can accomodate two guests per visit. To schedule a viewing please email Sophie@571Projects.com.
571 Projects was founded by Sophie Bréchu-West, an alumna of Christie's Education with a Master's in Contemporary Art and Connoisseurship, 571 Projects opened its doors as a boutique gallery in New York City's Chelsea in October 2009, housed in an old warehouse affectionately called Cold Castle. When the building was slated for demolition in 2012, the program became nomadic. Settled in Stowe, Vermont since 2015, 571 Projects continues to build a community through exhibitions and special projects. A deep, lifelong love of art and a desire to promote the work of significant emerging artists drives Bréchu-West's curatorial practice.
