Sally Gil's Permanent Public Art Commission for New York City's MTA

We are proud to announce Sally Gil's newly installed public art commission for the New York City's Metropolitan Transportation Authority, located at the Avenue U station on the Brooklyn Sea Beach/N Line, on the Northbound and Southbound platforms.

Gil made 14 four foot by nine foot panels, rendered in glass mosaic, take their cues from the unique history and heritage of the neighborhood, with references to architecture, flora and specialty cookies.
